One of the concerns car buyers have when they shop for a new vehicle is how much the car will depreciate over the course of their ownership. While depreciation is certainly inevitable over the years, some vehicles retain their value much stronger than others due to quality and demand, among other components.

If a full-size SUV is on your horizon, be prepared to drive one with a value that's predicted to retain the highest percentage of its original price after three years: the Chevrolet Tahoe.

After being evaluated among its competitors by ALG, a division of TrueCar Inc., the Chevrolet Tahoe was honored a 2015 ALG Residual Value Award; this is the first time the Tahoe's earned the award.

According to Sandor Piszar, Chevrolet Director of Truck Marketing, Chevy Tahoe sales are up 41 percent year to date (mid-November). So, the demand is there, and so is the quality.

"With improvements to the drive experience, capabilities, fuel economy and comfort for 2015, the Tahoe will remain the vehicle of choice for thousands of buyers who need all it can offer, and we expect this demand to drive impressive value retention."1
